Thoughtful, evidence-based therapy for adolescents and adults navigating change, complexity and growth
Whether you're struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, eating or body image concerns, feeling stuck or disconnected, or navigating a significant life transition, therapy can provide an opportunity to step back, make sense of what's happening, and move forward in a meaningful way.
Based in Canberra, I work collaboratively with adolescents and adults to understand the challenges they're facing, identify what may be getting in the way, and develop practical pathways towards improved wellbeing and lasting change.

Welcome to Confluence Psychology
A confluence is a place where different streams come together to form a larger whole.
At Confluence Psychology, I recognise that mental health is shaped by many interconnected aspects of our lives. Therapy focuses not only on reducing symptoms and distress, but also on strengthening wellbeing, building on existing strengths, and supporting meaningful and lasting change in line with your goals.
Confluence Psychology is a Canberra-based telehealth practice providing online therapy for adolescents and adults in the Canberra region and across Australia.
About Dr Katharine (Katie) Scutt
Hi, I'm Katie, a registered psychologist with experience supporting children, adolescents and adults across a range of mental health and wellbeing concerns.
I hold a PhD in Clinical Psychology, where my research examined the relationship between eating disorders and wellbeing. This area remains a particular area of expertise that informs my practice. While reducing symptoms and distress is an important part of therapy, I also believe in helping people strengthen their wellbeing, work towards what matters most to them, and build meaningful and fulfilling lives.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and evidence-based, with a focus on understanding the bigger picture and helping clients create lasting change.
